Michael is a Partner at BSHM and responsible for overseeing operations and business development of the Youngstown Studio. Michael has been with BSHM since 2014 after starting his career in commercial retail for a national mall developer. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of Architecture Degree from Kent State University and experience ranges from higher education facilities, K-12 educational facilities, athletic facilities, municipal, retail, commercial cold storage facilities and capital improvements.
As a LEED professional and a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, Michael oversees sustainable building solutions on all BSHM projects and believes there is an inherent responsibility for architects to transform buildings and communities to advocate for human and environmental well-being.
In addition to sustainability, Michael has a great appreciation for the integrated design process and technology within the field of architecture and places a great deal of emphasis on the progressive influence they have on efficiency, design, and collaboration. With the efficiencies of technology, collaboration, and honest communication, clear expectations can be defined that achieve higher goals and ultimately better projects for the built environment.
