Mary Jo Kovachik

Mary Jo began her career working in the legal profession, and over the next 20 years rose through the ranks into management positions at two of the largest law firms in the Mahoning Valley. Her financial acumen and management skills led her to positions in which she oversaw all financial matters, including insurance settlement distribution, banking, human relations and office management. 

In 1999, an office management opportunity became available at the architectural firm of Ricciuti Balog & Partners and Mary Jo decided it was time for a change.  Soon after joining the firm, she helped oversee the firm’s rebranding to BSHM Architects and the development of a new, interactive website. In the years since she joined, the Youngstown firm continued to grow and added a second office in Coumbus, Ohio.

Mary Jo takes pride in helping BSHM maintain its strong financial position.  Recently she was promoted to CFO.  She oversees all corporate banking and investment responsibilities, HR, contract execution, vendor and partner relations, as well as office management.

Mary Jo is a fitness enthusiast and is active in the practice of yoga and pilates. She also enjoys hiking and biking in Mill Creek Metroparks.
