As President and Senior Partner of BSHM Architects, Byron leads the direction of design and planning within the firm while overseeing operations of the firm’s Columbus and Youngstown offices.
In the past 25+ years at BSHM, Byron has been dedicated to understanding the complex nature of the built environment’s impact on health and well-being within our communities. His design sensitivity, inclusive management skills, and thorough Educational Planning abilities have earned him the trust of many long-term clients.
As a LEED Professional since 2005, Byron has long advocated for sustainable practices which he feels are inherent in the responsible practice of architecture. He brings this perspective to the firm’s diverse portfolio leading major projects in PK-12, higher education, historic adaptive re-use, and multi-family, commercial, and retail markets.
Byron’s mission is to perpetuate the company’s culture of empathy, compassion, and service to the community. He accomplishes this through client, staff, and project management, planning, and a passion for design.
